Frequently Asked Questions

How can I sell my share certificates?

When selling share certificates through your account with us, please first ensure that you have a valid share certificate; you can do this by contacting the Company Registrar, whose details should appear on your certificate. If you were to place a sale without holding a valid certificate, we would be unable to settle your trade, and you would be liable to cover any costs incurred.

When you send us your share certificate to cover your trade, please also include a completed Crest Transfer Form. You can download a blank one one here or alternatively, use our Crest Transfer Form Generator to create a pre-filled Crest Transfer Form which you can then download, print out and sign. To do this, log into your account and go to Account Information and select the Transfer to us option.

You should also receive a Contract Note for your sale, which has a detachable slip for return with your share certificate.

Because you are sending valuable documents to us, you may wish to use recorded delivery or registered post.
